Any person who shall attempt to commit battery on another person or threaten bodily harm to another person through use of unlawful force or violence or verbal threats shall be guilty of assault and, upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to confinement for a period not to exceed three (3) months or to pay a fine not to exceed $300.00 or both, with costs. In the discretion of the Court, such offender may be required to furnish a satisfactory bond to keep the peace.Pueblo de San Ildefonso Code.
