NARF is dedicated to supporting the next generation of Indian law lawyers. One way we do this is through our Law Clerk Program. This week we’re highlighting Tierra (“Tia”) Marks, a summer law clerk in NARF’s Boulder, Colorado, office.
Tia Marks is a citizen of the Navajo Nation and attends law school at the University of New Mexico School of Law. Her family is from the Big Mountain region on the Navajo Nation. Before law school, Tia attended the University of Colorado Boulder and graduated with a degree in Ethnic Studies. Tia worked for NARF right after graduating from the University of Colorado and the summer after her first year of law school. At the University of New Mexico School Of Law, Tia is co-editor of the Tribal Law Journal and a part of the Law and Indigenous Peoples program.
