NARF Executive Director John E. Echohawk to speak at symposium honoring Charles Wilkinson
Save the dates! On March 10 and 11, 2016, the Getches-Wilkinson Center for Natural Resources, Energy, and the Environment will host the 2016 Martz Winter Symposium, A Celebration of the Work of Charles Wilkinson.
The event will honor the work of Distinguished Professor Charles Wilkinson, former NARF Staff Attorney and a prolific and passionate writer, teacher, and advocate for the people and places of the West. NARF Executive Director John E. Echohawk is one of many speakers at the two-day event. From the event agenda:
We celebrate the work of Distinguished Professor Charles Wilkinson, a prolific and passionate writer, teacher, and advocate for the people and places of the West. Charles’s influence extends beyond place, yet his work has always originated in a deep love of and commitment to particular places. We honor Charles’s work in the same way he approached it, by starting with place and expanding to include the entire country. We will close by coming back home to Boulder, where we are fortunate to call Charles a friend, colleague, and mentor.
