March 1, 2013 ~ Cry Rock – Less than fifteen Nuxalk language speakers and storytellers remain in Bella Coola, British Columbia. Cry Rock examines how Nuxalk stories are more than mere words. The wild beauty of British Columbia’s Bella Coola Valley combined with watercolor animation illuminates a young filmmaker’s journey to the intersection of Nuxalk language and story, culture and history.
Festival is free – Screenings are FREE with a suggested donation. “Warming of the Hearts” ~ warm clothing donations will be accepted at the door ~ coats, sweaters, hats, gloves, boots, mittens, blankets, etc.
