On November 23, the Native American Rights Fund (NARF) sent a letter calling on the Attorney General of the United States to intervene and put an end to the violence being perpetrated against the Water Protectors who are protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline. NARF further requested a full investigation of the Morton County Sheriff’s office for their acts of violence and tactics used against the Water Protectors, and requested that criminal charges be brought for any and all violations of federal criminal civil rights laws.
