NATIVE AMERICAN RIGHTS FUND WINS LOCAL WEBSITE AWARD BOULDER, CO – The Native American Rights Fund was honored with the "People's Choice" Website Award by the Boulder Community Network in a formal ceremony in Boulder, Colorado on September 29. The Native American Rights Fund's website won the overall "People's Choice" category from a field of 36 local entries, which was decided by the public through online electronic voting. Along with the People's Choice category, four other website awards were announced that included:
During the awards presentation each winning organization's homepage was displayed "live" onscreen for the audience to view. Following the presentations, Lisa Napoli, a Technology Correspondent for MSNBC.com gave the keynote address about the role of technology and media in the world. This is the second website award presented to the Native American Rights Fund. In 2000, NARF's website was awarded the Standard of Excellence by the Web Marketing Association, an independent organization founded with the exclusive purpose of evaluating and recognizing the standard of excellence of the World Wide Web.
