Tribal Law Gateway Home  |   Finding Tribal Laws Elsewhere

If you cannot find a tribal law at the National Indian Law Library or online, contact us for help.

  • We'll evaluate your research strategy, and, if necessary.
  • We'll recommend:
    • Using the Tribal Code & Constitution Directory -- the A-Z List to find out if the tribe has posted its laws online. If not, contact the tribe to inquire about accessing their laws.
    • Contacting other libraries that might be collecting tribal laws.
    • Asking your public or college library about using WorldCat to find tribal laws (especially older ones) --
CAUTION: WorldCat will not pick up all tribal laws in all libraries. It does not, for instance, find the items in this library's collection.
