§15.100 PURPOSE
AND AUTHORITY: The Siletz Tribal Council is concerned with the
proliferation of illegal activity by minors in violation of Siletz Tribal

parents of minors should be encouraged to exercise supervision and care

eliminated; therefore, the purpose of this ordinance is to create the
civil offense of Failing to Supervise a Minor.
§15.101 OFFENSE: A person commits the offense of Failing
to Supervise a Minor if: the person is the parent, legal guardian or

§15.103 RESTITUTION: In addition to any fine or penalty
imposed pursuant to this ordinance, the court may order the parent,
legal guardian or person with legal responsibility to pay any restitution
to a victim of the minor's conduct. The amount of restitution ordered

only if such program is offered and available through the Tribe at the
time of the sentencing.
