WHEREAS, the Fort McDowell Mohave-Apache Community has adopted the
Law and Order Code of the Fort McDowell Mohave-Apache Community, Arizona
pursuant to Resolution No. Ft. McD. 90-30, and
WHEREAS, the Community Council has determined that the administration
of justice in the Community will be better served by amending or revising
current provisions or adopting new provisions to the Law and Order Code
as contained in Exhibits A, B, C, D, and E attached hereto,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Law and Order Code of the
Fort McDowell Mohave-Apache Community, Arizona be amended by adopting
those provisions contained in Exhibits A,B, C, D, and E attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that those amendments adopted herewith shall
replace or supercede all prior resolutions or ordinances regarding the
subject matter of the amendments.
CERTIFICATION
Pursuant
to the authority contained in Article IV, Sections 1(f) and (i) and
Sections 2(h) of the Constitution and Bylaws of the Fort McDowell Indian
Community, ratified by the Community on October 3, 1936, and approved
by the Secretary of the Interior, November 24, 1936, the foregoing resolution
was adopted on this 5th day of January, 1998,
at a Special Council Meeting held at Fort McDowell at which a quorum
of 5 members were present and 0 were absent by a vote
of 4 for and 0 opposed and 0 abstained.
