Chapter Twenty. Civil Action for Violation of the Freedom of Information Acts


Section 2001. Law Applicable for Civil Damages for a Violation of the Freedom of Information Acts

Any person violating Section 215, Criminal Offenses, relating to a violation of the Freedom of Information Acts of either the Absentee Shawnee Tribe (Legislative Resolution No. AS-92-38) or the federal law (5 U.S.C.A. ยง 552a(b)(2)) may be sued in Tribal Court for civil damages; provided that the Absentee Shawnee Tribe will be held harmless and immune from such suit and incur no liability for such act whatsoever.
