NARF is indebted to the thousands of individuals who have had faith
in our organization and have given their financial and ethical support to our efforts on
behalf of Native American tribes and Indian people.
Because you are a very important partner in our work, please
click here for our Annual Report Summary for
fiscal year 2002 so that you can review all of the cases and ongoing litigation
that your assistance made possible.
At NARF we understand that when the freedom of one person
is denied, the freedom of everyone is in danger. Native Americans have suffered
centuries of mistreatment and broken promises, and the constitutionally guaranteed
rights of America's First People are still being trampled upon to this day.
Now, perhaps more than any other time in history, it is vital
that we stand together to fight for justice no matter how long, difficult and costly
the road to justice may be.
NARF will keep fighting in courtrooms across the
country to ensure that the United States government honors its agreements with
Native Americans and enforces rights and moral obligations pledged to the tribes
by the Constitution.
If you haven't already, register now to become apart of our
Action Network at www.narf.org which promotes the ongoing development of Indian
law and educates the public about Indian rights, law and issues.
Sincerely,
John E. Echohawk
Executive Director
