At NARF, we are dedicated to supporting the next generation of Indian law lawyers, and one way we do this is through our Law Clerk Program. This week we’re highlighting Tarah Bailey, a law clerk in our Boulder, CO, office.
Tarah grew up in Boulder, CO, and is of Cherokee descent. Tarah is entering her third year at the University of Colorado Law School where she is focusing her studies on American Indian and Natural Resources law. Last summer, Tarah interned for Judge Fox at the Colorado Court of Appeals. She is a staff writer on her law school’s Natural Resources, Energy & Environmental Law Review and her student note on meaningful consultation with Indian tribes will be published in the law review’s next edition. Tarah served as the Class of 2018 Vice President and is a member of the Native American Law Students Association. Prior to law school, Tarah attended the University of Colorado and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. She later spent a year in American Samoa where she lived and worked in a traditional Samoan village. In her free time, Tarah enjoys spending time in the outdoors. She snowboards, surfs, rock climbs, cycles, and practices yoga. She is an avid cook and loves live music.
